Bahrain's Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa lauded the role Kuwaiti press in enhancing journalism in the GCC region, noting that it sets an example for development and efficiency, official media reported Tuesday.
The Bahraini Premier made his remarks during his meeting with Ahmad Al-Jarallah, Editor-in-Chief of Kuwaiti Al-Seyassah newspaper, and Ahmad Bahbahani, Board Chairman of Al-Khaleej newspaper, according to Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
He praised Al-Seyassah and Al-Khaleej newspapers' interest in shedding light on political, economic, and democratic development in the Kingdom, commending the high-profile media status of Al-Jarallah and Bahbahani on regional and Arab levels as key figures in press and media fields, as well as their newspapers' successful accomplishments.
Meanwhile, Prince Khalifa discussed with his Kuwaiti guests regional and international developments, affirming solid Bahraini-Kuwaiti ties and importance of democracy as a pillar for development and prosperity.
For their part, Al-Jarallah and Bahbahani lauded the Bahraini Premier's recent visit to Kuwait and its positive outcome on bilateral and GCC levels.
