Washington - SANA

US Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard said that protecting Daesh (ISIS) terrorist organization and other terrorist organizations in Syria by the administration of President Donald Trump is a betrayal of the US people and the victims of September 11 attacks.

“Gabbard House” website quoted the US congresswoman during a session of the US House of Representatives on Thursday as saying that before two days President Trump and his deputy talked about the attacks which took place on Sep. 11th, and they expressed concern over the victims of the attacks, but they are now protecting about 20 thousand to 40 thousand members of al-Qaeda and other terrorist forces in Syria and they threaten Russia, Syria and Iran to use military force if they attack these terrorists.

She added that this is a betrayal of the US people, particularly of the victims of 11/9 attacks and their families and those “who wear the US military uniform and either killed or injured.”

In previous statements Gabbard asserted that the US has supported the armed groups in Syria which are affiliated to terrorist organizations like Daesh and al-Qaeda, and she called upon the US administration to stop supporting the terrorist organizations which Washington calls “opposition”.
