BACA President receives Bahraini writer
Manama - Arab Today
President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Shaikha Mai bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, today received Bahraini writer and researcher Abdullah Al-Thawadi, who presented to her his book (Personalities and places live on in the memory of the homeland). Media figure Hassan Kamal was present.
The BACA President lauded the writer’s efforts to preserve the national cultural heritage.
She gave an overview of the 2018 BACA’s activities that center around Muharraq city, as the Capital of Islamic Culture 2018, and Bahrain International Book Fair.
Al-Thawadi expressed appreciation of the BACA President’s support for intellectual Bahrainis, praising her role in conserving national culture.
