Bahrain Tourism & Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) is taking part in the ITB in Berlin.
Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani said: ‘We, from the Kingdom of Bahrain, are here to launch our new representation officer for the German-speaking market here at the world’s leading tourism exhibition ITB in Berlin. 
Our tourism strategy is to grow international visitation from currently 12.3 million to 15.2 million in 2018 and to expand direct flight connectivity from Germany (and the world) to Bahrain.’
Shaikh Khaled bin Humood Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of BTEA, Nico Ortmann, General Manager of Aviareps, representing BTEA in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, also gave brief welcoming remarks.
Shaikh Khaled said: ‘Working together with our strong partners (from the hotel and airline industries), we want to create new tourism products that attract international travelers to Bahrain. With our new brand campaign ‘Ours. Yours. Bahrain’ we want to showcase our traditions and unique authentic experience to the world.’
Ortmann, General Manager of AVIAREPS Germany said: ‘We are delighted to be representing Bahrain in the German-speaking market and looking forward to a long and prosperous relationship. Through a strong marketing and PR approach we will raise awareness and create desire to visit Bahrain.’
