Rafah - MENA

The Rafah border crossing was closed on Friday for the weekend after it had opened for two days and received 1,635 people in both directions.

Meanwhile, as many as 51 trucks laden with building materials had passed through the border crossing.

The land terminal is decided to reopen on Saturday in both directions in order to allow stranded persons and patients as well as humanitarian relief aid to pass through.

On Wednesday, the Egyptian authorities decided to exceptionally reopen the Rafah terminal for four days, not including Friday.
