Speaker denounces targeting national gains

Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla today expressed strong denunciation of some individuals’ behaviors during Ashura season who tried to take advantage of the atmosphere of freedom and openness to undermine the national gains and achievements.
The Speaker stressed that the appalling acts carried out by a group of outlaws targeted igniting sectarianism to damage the national unity. He called for intensifying efforts to achieve the royal aspirations in the interest of the homeland and strengthening social unity and cohesion, affirming the state of law and institutions will address such poisonous ideas.
He praised the development witnessed in various fields led by HM the King, pointing out promoting religious freedom and preserving peaceful coexistence that characterize the Kingdom of Bahrain throughout its long history. He wished Bahrain further security and prosperity under the royal leadership.
