Riyadh - Arab Today

Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr. Abdellatif bin Rashid Al Zayani strongly condemned the terror blast which targeted a police bus near Jidhafs in Bahrain today. A policeman died in the incident and eight others were seriously injured.

The GCC Secretary General described the terrorist act as a heinous crime that contravenes all humanitarian and moral values and principles. He added the crime shows that the terrorist groups and their supporters are going ahead with their evil plots to shake the kingdom’s security and stability, and terrorise people. He also expressed utter confidence in the capability of the Interior Ministry’s specialised security bodies to track down the perpetrators and bring them to justice. He also called on the international community to denounce the terrorist organisations and their supporters’ continuous attempts to undermine Bahrain’s security and stability.
The GCC Secretary General extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the martyr of duty as well as the Bahraini government and people, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
