Al Azhar University deplores Las Vegas
Al Azhar University President Mohamed Hussein el Mahrsawi

Al Azhar University President Mohamed Hussein el Mahrsawi condemned Monday's mass shooting at a Las Vegas concert which left at least 59 people dead and 527 others injured.
In a statement on Tuesday, Mahrsawi urged the international community to drum up efforts to eradicate terrorism which threatens the whole world.
"Integrated cooperation among world countries at all levels is the only way to uproot terrorism," he said.
The university president offered condolences to the US administration and the American people over the victims and wished those injured a speedy recovery.
