Al Azhar condemns suicide attack on Mar Gerges Church in Tanta

Al Azhar strongly condemned the terrorist blast that targeted innocent people in Mar Gerges Church in Tanta during Palm Sunday Mass.
In a statement Sunday, Al Azhar termed the attack as a hideous crime.
This cowardly blast aims at destabilizing Egypt, the statement added.
Al Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el Tayyeb offered condolences to Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and patriarch of St. Mark Diocese and to the families of the victims and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
