Palestinian-Israel
Amman - ArabToday

Jordan and Norway on Wednesday stressed on the need to revive peace talks between the Palestinians and the Israelis, the state-run Petra news agency reported.

At talks in Amman between Jordanian Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh and his Norwegian counterpart Borge Brende, the two sides looked into regional challenges, including the stalled peace process.

They also looked into the upcoming peace conference slated in Paris next week, stressing on the need to relaunch effective and serious peace talks between the Palestinians and the Israelis leading to the creation of an independent Palestinian state at the borders of 1967.

On bilateral ties, they stressed keenness to enhance ties in various fields. Judeh also voiced appreciation to Norway's supports for Jordan and the Palestinian issue.

Discussions also covered means to combat terrorism and radical groups.
