Road 2926 in Hajiyat revamped

Roads Projects and Maintenance Director at the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Sayyed Bader Alawi revealed that the Ministry has completed the revamp of Road 2926 and the surrounding roads in Block 292 in Hajiyat, at the Southern Governorate.
Alawi explained that works comprised of implementing a new asphalt layer at a length of 4km, modifying roads level to prevent storm water accumulation and ensure smooth driving, painting and signage works.
According to Alawi, the project is part of a comprehensive plan implemented by the Ministry to revamp roads at the Southern Governorate and increase safety levels on the roads in the Governorate. The project serves 205 housing units.
The BD85,000 project was awarded to United Gulf Asphalt, to be implemented through time contracts. Coordination took place with all concerned service entities, to obtain their consent prior to implementation.
