President Abel Fattah el Sisi issued on Saturday a decree that authorizes the president to sack heads and members of the independent bodies and regulatory agencies.

The decree stipulates involvement in any acts that harm the state security and safety and misdoings that undermine the higher interests of the country as reasons for firing anyone of those officials.
