The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, MBRF, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Emirates Scientists Council to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and build strategic partnerships to serve the community.

The signing ceremony was attended by Jamal bin Huwaireb, Managing Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, and Sara Amiri, President of the Emirates Scientists Council.

As per the MoU, the two entities will cooperate to launch cognitive initiatives and organise events that support the institutional development of knowledge resources at both parties. The foundation will provide the Emirates Scientists Council with knowledge index statistics, which was launched in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme. The council will also benefit from the scholarships offered by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation.

Commenting on the signing of the MoU, Mr. bin Huwaireb said, "The MoU will contribute to enriching the information network of both entities, and in sharing and hiring technical expertise and material resources to support the on-going cognitive development efforts. The MoU will also enhance the level of initiatives, programmes and projects on knowledge management."

The President of the Emirates Scientists Council said, "Signing the MoU provides an opportunity for the two entities to strengthen their role in contributing to building a scientific knowledge based society, and will help identify the optimal mechanisms to leverage expertise and human resources for various development projects in the UAE."
