Foreign Minister of Qatar Participates in Friends of Syria Meeting

HE the Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani participated Friday in the meeting of the Friends of Syria Group, which took place in Bonn.
The meeting discussed the developments of the Syrian crisis and ways to implement the ceasefire in Syrian cities and protect the citizens under siege there.
HE the Foreign Minister stressed on the importance of ceasefire in Syria and providing safe zones. His Excellency also highlighted the importance of respecting UN Security Council resolution 2254 and the Geneva 1 talks.
Foreign Ministers of Britain, Italy, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, US, Germany, Turkey, France and the EU participated in the meeting.
