Abu Dhabi - Arab Today

Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, has said that the celebration of UAE Flag Day on November 2nd is a national celebration that promotes stronger bonds between the leadership and citizens, and a national occasion in which UAE citizens renew their loyalty to their country and leaders.

In statements to the Emirates News Agency, WAM, Al Mansouri said that the Ministry has started preparations for the official celebrations of Flag Day in coordination with both the public and private sector in the country.

He added that the celebrations coincide with the anniversary of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's accession to the Presidency.

Al Mansouri said that Flag Day is one of the most important events in the state's agenda, as the nation's flag carries symbolism that reflects the country's unity, its sovereignty, and its cultural and human achievements.

"The cultural accomplishments achieved by the UAE since the founding fathers agreed to ignite the flame of the union, which has been and will be maintained under the patronage of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates," Al Mansouri added.
