Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS) Deputy Chairman Gamal Hegazy said the company plans to extend natural gas to 1.1 million clients in nine governorates.

The nine governorates are Cairo, Luxor, Fayyoum, Beni Suef, Menya, Assiut, Damietta, Kafr el Sheikh and Beheira, Hegazy said during a symposium held by the company in Assiut.

The symposium aimed at assessing the environmental and social dimensions of the EGAS expansion plan.
