His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy King, today at Qudaibiya Palace, received His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and reviewed national affairs and regional and international developments.
Their royal highnesses welcomed the international community’s understanding to the danger of terrorism and its effect on the security in the region. They highlighted Bahrain’s appreciation of global support to international efforts to counter terrorism, among of them the UK Parliament decision, at a request of the British government, designating a number of outlawed Bahraini groups as terrorist organisations. They noted Bahrain’s cooperation with its allies and friendly countries to firmly stand up to terrorism and combat its financing resources.
Their royal highnesses reviewed the government plans and development programmes. They also stressed the government keenness to promote initiatives supportive to the optimum use of energy, including new and renewable energy in support of development purposes and environment protection.
