Azhar main role is fighting extremist ideologies

The main message of Al Azhar is fighting extremist ideas and renewing religious discourse, Presidential Adviser for Religious Affairs Ossama al Azhari said on Wednesday.
Al Azhari made the remarks in a seminar on Al Azhar's role in refuting extremist ideology, which was held at the branch of Al-Azhar University in Zagazig.
He added that Al Azhar is keen on urging youth to adopt the moderate ideologies and keep away from extremism.
