Attempt to smuggle 100 kg of hashish foiled

A smuggler attempting to get away with 100kg of hashish was arrested by the ROP on Monday morning.
The smuggler hid the narcotics within the cargo truck, and was pursued while crossing the Sultanate borders. According to a source within ROP leadership in Buraimi, the smuggler holds an Arab Nationality, and worked as a truck driver to transfer food supplies between several countries.
The smuggler was arrested in the early hours of Monday. The Directorate General of Narcotics Control foiled the attempt in the Governorate of Buraimi, under the leadership of the Buraimi Police.
