All security measures taken to safeguard New Suez Canal inauguration

All needed security measures have been taken in Ismailia to safeguard the inauguration ceremony of the New Suez Canal on Thursday, Governor Yassin Taher said.
Speaking to Sky News channel on Wednesday, Taher said an all-out security plan was developed to provide military, security and medical services.
The new 72-kilometer waterway, built in less than a year at a cost of 60 billion EGP, runs part of the way alongside the existing canal connecting the Red Sea and the Mediterranean.
The legendary project was mostly financed by investment certificates sold to Egyptians.
