UAE, Vietnamese officials discuss cooperation in Civil Defence

The Under-Secretary of the Interior Ministry for Resources and Supportive Services at the Ministry of Interior, Maj. General Salim Mubarak Al Shamsi, recently welcomed Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Public Security, Bui Van Thanh, at the ministry's headquarters to discuss cooperation in the field of Civil Defence.
The two sides shared experiences and exchanged knowledge on various aspects of the sector, as part of efforts to enhance cooperation. They also explored ways of strengthening collaboration between both countries in areas to include training, scientific research, safety and protection, and fire-fighting.
Maj. General Jassem Al Marzouqi, Commander-in-Chief of the Civil Defence, later accompanied Bui Van Thanh and his delegation on a visit to the Civil Defence Academy in Abu Dhabi where they were introduced to the academy's facilities and its variety of equipment and systems.
