The members of the Security Council condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist attacks that occurred in Damascus, Syria on 10 May, causing numerous deaths and injuries. They expressed their deep sympathy and sincere condolences to the victims of these heinous acts and to their families.
The members of the Security Council called upon all parties in Syria immediately and comprehensively to implement all elements of the Joint Special Envoy six-point proposal, in conformity with resolutions 2042 and 2043, and in particular to cease all armed violence in all its forms. In this regard, the members of the Security Council reaffirmed their full support to the United Nations Supervision Mission in Syria and the Joint Special Envoy for the United Nations and the League of Arab States.
