His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa today at Gudaibiya Palace received former South Korean President Lee Myung-bak.

HRH Premier praised the progressive Bahraini-Korean relations highlighted by both countries’ keenness to further boost cooperation to benefit joint interests. He paid tribute to the Korean economic progress and developmental successes achieved in various fields.

HRH Premier stressed Bahrain’s keenness to strengthen trade, economic and investment cooperation with Korea. He noted the importance of exchanging visits in promoting bilateral relations and cooperation, welcomed Korean interest in broadening cooperation.

The former Korean President expressed delight in visiting the Kingdom of Bahrain, saying his country is looking forward to HRH Premier’s anticipated visit to Korea, which will contribute to develop cooperation in the interests of the two countries.
