Maryam Radjavi, president of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), speaks to the press on June 22, 2013 in Villepinte, near Paris, before addressing the annual meeting of the Iranian resistance.
Jeddah - Arab Today

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the international community to adopt a firm policy vis-a-vis Tehran and deny it the means and resources that help it to perpetuate its murderous conduct.
Shahin Gobadi, spokesman of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran in Paris, told Arab News: “The Iranian regime is the world’s No. 1 per capita executioner of its own citizens. The staggering rise in executions is at levels unprecedented in the past quarter century.”
He added: “Outside Iran, the mullahs have helped the Syrian dictator Bashar Assad slaughter hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians, including many women and children by dispatching their Revolutionary Guards and mercenaries to that country.”
His statement came on the occasion of the NCRI’s conference in Paris on Saturday.
Meanwhile, NCRI President-elect Maryam Rajavi, who is expected to attend the conference, reiterated that Iranian people have the full right to protest against the regime, according to Al-Arabiya website.
In another development, Shahriar Kia, a member of the People’s Mojahedin, said that the Iranian regime leverages every possible means to support Yemen’s Houthi militias and provide them with weapons and other support, whether by sea or through neighboring countries, and in some cases, even through the Red Crescent.
Speaking to Arab News, he revealed that in the summer of 2015 Tehran used the Red Crescent to send medium- and short-range missiles as well as night-vision equipment, radar, small- and medium-caliber weapons and other military gear to Yemen.
