"Our response should be firm and show solidarity and to strengthen actions against terrorism he said calling for closer cooperation with the Gulf counties and other counties of the Middle East and North Africa to fight terrorism.   "This fight against terrorism constitutes one of the biggest challenges we have faced in our open and democratic societies, as well as one of our main priorities. And our presidency will give it great priority. Will base our work in that of our predecessors, having in mind both the internal and the external aspexts of security," he added.    On his part, Dimitris Avramopoulos, EU Commissioner for home affairs extended his condolences to the families of the victims and expressed moral support and sympathies to the counties affected and strongly condemned the terrorist attacks.    Investigations being conducted in France, Tunisia and Kuwait 'bear the hallmarks of DAESH's. despicable ideology of intolerance.  Their objective is to instil terror," he said.

"It is also relevant to note that terrorists are focusing on soft targets such as religious buildings or tourist resorts. Preventing radicalization remains essential, added Avramopoulos
