China has urged Arab countries to maintain their unity and correlation to achieve stability and peace in the Middle East following a decision by Egypt, Saudi Arabia, UAE and Bahrain to cut off their relations with Qatar for its insistence on interfering in their internal affairs and supporting terrorist groups.
China is following up the decision of the four countries to cut ties with Doha and hopes the Arab states will overcome their differences and settle any disputes, the Chinese foreign ministry's spokeswoman Hua Chunying answered a question by MENA correspondent on the recent step at a press conference at the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
The decision of the four countries was announced earlier in the day.
