Minister of Religious Endowments (Awqaf), Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed, signed on Monday a scientific cooperation agreement with the Chief Mufti of Moscow and Central Russia, Albir Krganov.
Earlier, al-Sayyed discussed with Krganov means of cooperating in combating extremism and terrorism and consolidating Syrian-Russian religious relations.
The Minister, along with the accompanying delegation, participated in a celebration of the birth of the Prophet Mohamed which was attended by thousands of Russian citizens, and delivered a speech in which he spoke about the meanings of mercy in the life of Prophet Mohammad and talked about the terrorism that targeted Syria, hailing the Russian stances towards Syria
