Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu said on Sunday that 113,260 have been arrested and 47,155 remanded over suspected links to the Gulen movement since the July 2016 coup attempt.

Among the remanded are 10,732 police officers, 7,643 soldiers, 168 generals, 2,575 judges and prosecutors, 26,177 civilians and 208 local administrators, Soylu said in an interview with a local television channel.

According to the Turkish Interior Minister, 23,861 suspects have been freed while 863 others remain at large.

Fethullah Gulen, a U.S.-based preacher, is accused by the Turkish government of orchestrating a failed coup attempt in July 15, 2016.

The Turkish government declared a state of emergency and launched a massive crackdown on Gulen's supporters following the coup.
