Foreign minister receives French president's special envoy

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, received today in his office at the Ministry's General court, Special Envoy of the President of the French Republic to the Gulf, Mr. Bertrand Besancenot.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed the Special Envoy of the President of the French Republic to the Gulf, expressing his pride and appreciation for the friendly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the French Republic regarding their continuous development at all levels.

The Minister stressed the keenness of the Kingdom of Bahrain to deepen and improve the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

During the meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs gave Mr. Bertrand Besancenot a detailed explanation on the causes of the Qatari crisis, its roots and repercussions, as well as ways to solve the crisis.

The Special Envoy of the President of the Republic of France to the Gulf underlined the deep ties of friendship between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the French Republic, praising the role of the Kingdom of Bahrain in promoting security and peace in the region and wishing the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
