Foreign Minister meets Italian Navy Fleet Commander

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, today received Vice Admiral Donato Marzano, Commander in Chief of the Italian Navy Fleet (CINCNAV) and his accompanying delegation.
The Minister noted that their visit to Bahrain reflects the constant interaction between the officials of the two countries and their keenness to coordinate issues of common concern.
Shaikh Khalid praised the friendly relations between Bahrain and Italy, saying they are constantly developing at all levels.
He also reviewed with his guests ways of achieving security and stability in the region to confront the challenges it faces, particularly terrorism in all its forms and which needs concerted international efforts to eliminate.
Marzano took pride in visiting Bahrain, noting the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries.
He also affirmed Italy’s keenness to cooperate with Bahrain in all areas towards broader levels, wishing Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
