Umm Al Qaiwain - Arab Today

H.H. Sheikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Qaiwain and Chairman of the Executive Council, has issued Executive Council Resolution No. 19 of 2017 regarding the formation of sub-working teams in local departments, to apply the "Government Business Development Model" in the Umm Al Qaiwain Government.

The resolution stipulates the formation of institutional development working teams in every department, headed by the directors-general of departments, institutions or authorities, to support their sustainability and development.

It also states that the teams will mainly handle the execution and monitoring of the model’s goals in Umm Al Qaiwain, which include government development, leadership and capabilities, as well as strategic development and enhancing government services, performance, excellence and innovation, to achieve the goals of the UAE Vision 2021 and keep pace with the efforts to adopt the UAE Centennial 2071.

The resolution also aims to establish a more efficient and effective government system and achieve qualitative and sustainable economic development, according to a futuristic vision while preparing the national manpower and leadership and raising their efficiency to keep pace with the world’s rapid overall advancement.
