H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued Emiri Decree No. 68 of 2017 to restructure the Board of Directors of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, SCCI.

The Decree stipulates that the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be restructuring under the chairmanship of Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, and a number of members.

The Decree also states that members of the board shall serve for a term of three years, renewable by a Decree from His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, starting from the first meeting, and the Council shall continue to conduct its business at the end of its term until the appointment of a new Council, and may be re-appointed from the expiration of their term of office.

All Decisions, Orders, and Administrative and Financial Acts issued by the previous Council until the date of the implementation of this Decree shall be deemed valid and enforceable as if issued by it.
