Sharjah Ruler inspects final preparations for SIBF

H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on Tuesday inspected the Sharjah International Book Fair, SIBF, which kicks off on Wednesday at the Expo Centre Sharjah.

Sheikh Sultan toured the place and reviewed the work of the pavilions of publishing houses participating in the event. He also spoke to the publishers who confirmed their complete satisfaction with the arrangements for the event.

The SIBF, organised by Sharjah Book Authority, SBA, will be inaugurated at 10am on Wednesday, under the auspices and presence of the Ruler of Sharjah.

During the inspection tour, Sheikh Sultan was accompanied by Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council; Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Abdullah Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Culture and Information; Mohammed Obaid Al Zaabi, Director of the Sharjah Department of Protocol and Guesthouses; Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of the Sharjah Book Authority; Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director-General of the Sharjah Media Corporation; Khalid Butti Al Hajri, Director-General of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and a number of officials and exhibitors.
