Sharjah - Arab Today

Under the patronage of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, on Monday attended the Education and Future Conference, being organised by the UAE Teachers' Association in Sharjah.

The conference, which coincides with World Teachers' Day which falls on 5th October every year, stems from the essential importance of educational institutions in developing their capabilities to reach the next level in global leadership.

The conference highlights educational visions, initiatives, and projects aimed at raising the productivity of the education sector and promoting the teachers' leading role, which contribute to building a promising generation capabilities.

During the ceremony, a short documentary film was screened showing the most significant milestones and the great achievements of the Ruler of Sharjah, as these constant achievements contribute to the development of UAE's educational sector.

The Ruler of Sharjah, who is Honorary President of the UAE Teachers' Association, was awarded the Order of the Arab Organisation for Education, First Class, by the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organisation, ALECSO, in recognition of his relentless efforts to support the educational and cultural process in the UAE. The ALECSO award was received on his His Highness's behalf by the Sharjah Crown Prince.

The Crown Prince of Sharjah honoured the participants, speakers and moderators who contributed to the success of the conference. He also toured the exhibition accompanying the conference, and was briefed on the participating platforms.

The ceremony was attended by number of officials, dignitaries, and representatives of educational bodies.
