Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Visits EPC

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Envoy to the Middle East Mikhail Bogdanov on Monday visited Emirates Policy Center (EPC) and met with EPC President Dr. Ebtesam Al-Ketbi.
Mr. Bogdanov congratulated Dr. Al-Ketbi on the success of the Fourth Abu Dhabi Strategic Debate (ADSD), which was held recently by EPC. The Russian official said that Russian foreign policy circles and scholars concerned with Middle Eastern affairs were highly interested in ADSD’s themes, discussions and outcomes.
The meeting also touched on recent developments in regional crises, especially the wars in Syria, Yemen, and Libya, combatting terrorism, Iran’s threats to the Gulf region, and Moscow’s policy towards these issues.
The two sides also discussed the scope of Russian-GCC relations, in general, and the Russian-UAE ties, in particular.
