His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, today received Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni at the Beach Palace, Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting, which was attended by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed hailed the privileged and growing cooperation ties between the two countries.

The meeting occasioned a review of the latest regional and international developments of common interest ,with special emphasis on the two countries' efforts to combat terrorism and extremism.

H.H. Sheikh Mohamed stressed during the meeting that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, is keen to develop relations and coordination with Italy across all domains.

The Italian Prime Minister expressed his country's deep interest in broadening relations with the UAE to the higher good of the two peoples, specially in areas of economy.

The meeting was attended by Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority, Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, the Undersecretary of the Crown Prince Court of Abu Dhabi, Saqr Nasser Al Raisi, the UAE Ambassador to the Republic of Italy, and Deputy Chief of Staff of UAE Armed Forces Staff Lt. General Eisa Saif Al Mazrouei, along with the Italian Ambassador to the UAE Liborio Stellino and a number of UAE and Italian officials.
