Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tareq el Mulla chaired on Thursday the first meeting of the higher committee to transform Egypt into a regional energy center.
Egypt's future vision for the issue of energy should take into account the rapid economic changes in the world, Mulla said in a statement.
The government has already outlined a comprehensive strategy to transform Egypt into a regional energy center, Mulla added.
