King Mohammed VI
Rabat - Arab Today

King Mohammed VI completed his tour of Africa on Tuesday which aimed to strengthen the cooperation and socio-economic relations between Morocco and many African countries.

This latest royal journey started on February 1, just after the return of the Kingdom to the African Union, with an official visit that lasted two days in the Republic of South Sudan and then continued into Ghana, Zambia, Guinea and Côte d’Ivoire.

While these visits were intended to consolidate economic cooperation and exchanges with the continent, King Mohammed VI also paid special attention to offer social, humanitarian and development aid to many African countries.

In line with the Kingdom’s policy of sharing expertise, advocating the King’s ideals and focusing on opening up to African economies and consolidating win-win partnerships with the continent, this royal tour was mainly marked by the signing of a panoply of agreements and conventions sealed with the private and public operators of the countries visited.

As a result of this successful tour, no fewer than 75 conventions were added to the many agreements that have made the Kingdom a major trade and economic partner of African countries.
