H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, has visited the city of Ghayathi.

During the visit, he inspected several developmental projects, as part of the efforts made by H.H. to improve the condition of the UAE citizens and the services offered to them.

Sheikh Hamdan also attended the wedding celebration of Rashid Khamis bin Mukhaizan Al Mansouri’s son Abdullah to the daughter of Marshoud Mohammed Eissa Al Mansouri.

The wedding, which was held in Ghayathi Wedding Hall, was also attended by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture and Knowledge Development, Mubarak Rashed Al Mansouri, Governor of the UAE Central Bank, Mohammed Hamad bin Azzan Al Mazrouei, Under-Secretary of the Ruler's Representative's Court in Al Dhafra Region, Atiq Khamis Al Mazrouei, Acting Director-General of the Al Dhafra Municipality, and several dignitaries and other invitees.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan congratulated the groom and the bride, and blessed their auspicious wedding, wishing them a happy marriage.

The celebration included heritage performances by Emirati folk groups.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan, accompanied by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, also inspected the Ghayathi Council Project, which is being built and supervised by the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court.

The Council, which is expected to be completed in five months, will play an important role in promoting national solidarity between the people of the region and will strengthen communication between them, by serving as a daily gathering place that will bring together neighbours, family and relatives.

He also inspected the Ghayathi Mosque Project, which is expected to accommodate some 1,000 worshippers. The mosque, which is being funded by the Emirates Red Crescent and supervised by the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, will serve the city’s people.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan visited citizen Mubarak bin Qaran Al Mansouri at his house in Ghayathi.

He exchanged a friendly conversation with Al Mansouri and his family members, enquiring about his health and condition.

H.H. Sheikh Hamdan appreciated the dedicated efforts made by the people of Al Dhafra Region in their development journey, their advice for the current generation and the good upbringing of their children.

Mubarak bin Qaran Al Mansouri, his family members and the people of Ghayathi city welcomed Sheikh Hamdan, and thanked him for honouring them and making efforts to enquire about their condition.
