President Mahmoud Abbas said on Thursday that Palestine is a model for co-existence and social peace.
Abbas made these remarks to a delegation of Muslim, Christian and Jewish religious figures he met with at his Ramallah headquarters.
“Palestine is a model for co-existence and social peace that should be emulated, which proves that this people deserve to have their own independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital, which will be open to all monotheistic religions,” he said.
The religious figures expressed support for the president’s efforts to bring peace to this region and meet the aspirations of his people in freedom and independence.
