Aden - Abdel Ghani Yahya

The Yemeni government forces continued, on Saturday, their advance towards the camp of Khalid bin al-Walid in Taiz province, south-west of Yemen.
The media center of Taiz military commend said in its account on Facebook, that the National Army forces supported by Arab coalition fighters continued to advance towards Khalid bin al-Walid camp at the junction of the Mukha, west of Taiz, amid fierce fighting with Houthis forces. He added that the army was able to reach Al-Ashiera village, north of the camp, amid the retreat of the militia, in conjunction with the violent strikes of the fighters of the coalition.
The same center reported that the forces of the National Army managed to reach the vicinity of the camp and besieged it from the western and southern sides; amid the retreat of the elements of Hothis and inflict heavy losses. The National Army and the resistance carried out a successful operation, supported by an air cover of coalition fighters from the north-west, where they managed to cut the Hodeidah-Taiz line across Hamli Bridge.

The deputy spokesman for Taiz, Colonel Abdul Basset al-Bahr described the process as successful. Al-Bahr said that the forces of the army and the resistance carried out a successful military operation and cut off Hodeidah-Taiz line from Hamli bridge and took control of the nearby neighborhood of Colonel Qaid Afandy's house in a process of encircling the militias.

Two militia members were also killed in an attack by the resistance on their positions on the hill of Sharqan in the province of Zaher. A source in the resistance said that the militias of Houthi and Saleh responded to the resistance attack by shelling the houses and interests of citizens in various heavy weapons and tanks in the directorate of Zaher Al-Hameikan.

On the fronts of Al-Hameikan, the resistance fighters managed to foil an attack by the Hothis militia and the pro-coup forces. As usual after the failure of each attack, the Houthis militias bombed the houses and interests of the citizens of Al-Habaj villages with artillery and tanks.

Houthis militias also shelled the houses and interests of the citizens in Yaf'an district, including the Yaf'an elementary school. The shelling came in response to the targeting of the resistance of one of the militias' crews in a tight container in the area of the Mejer, which is more than 2 kilometers away.

Violent clashes took place between Saleh and Houthi militias on the one hand and the government forces on the other by popular resistance, on Saturday, in Asilan district in Shabwa governorate, in parallel with the mutual artillery shelling between the two sides.

Field sources reported that government forces repulsed an infiltration attempt carried out by militias on al-Sakia site near the militia-controlled Haid bin Aqil south of Asilan. The sources said that violent clashes lasted several hours between the two parties, during which the government forces repelled the militia attack and forced them to flee and retreat to their former positions.

In Aden, the Yemeni government called, on Saturday, on the UN Security Council to implement resolution No.2216, and to include the militants of the Houthis and Saleh forces on the lists of terrorist groups. Deputy Minister of Human Rights Mohammed Askar said that the coup led to the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in a dangerous and unprecedented manner.
