Mosul - Najla Al Taee

A state of confusion dominated ISIS extremist group hours after the launch of military operations conducted by the Iraqi forces in cooperation with the International Coalition to liberate Mousl’s right bank, as the group closed the neighborhoods of the old city amid the spread of Combat detachment. Meanwhile, sources revealed that unidentified people set the fire on three headquarters related to the group in the western side of Mousl.
Sources revealed that ISIS closed the old city preventing anyone from entering it to turn it into a military barrack amid intensive presence of vehicles carrying heavy weapons. The sources stressed that the extremists intensify their presence in these neighborhoods during the current moment. They added, “Unidentified people set the fire on three headquarters of ISIS hours after their evacuation from the extremist elements.”
According to the sources, a state of confusion hit the group which accused a large number of residents of the western side of the city of treason due to their rejection to join the group’s defensive front to confront the military operation against the governmental troops. The source monitored increasing reluctance among the residents to join the extremist militias, pushing militants’ leaders to accuse them of treason, as they launched the threats against the resident using the microphones.
The source stressed, “90 percent of those who registered themselves as volunteers to join the militants against the governmental troops have not moved to support the militias. The position embarrassed the extremist leaders amid a state of shock dominating the militants inside the different districts. The sources revealed that four civilians have been injured due to the explosion of a bomb thrown by ISIS drone in Mousl’s Wehda district.
Leader of Nineveh Operations Najm Al Jabori revealed the killing of six leaders of the extremist group at Lazaka village liberated recently from the grip of ISIS, underlining the lack of resistance from the elements of the group.
According to Iraqeya channel, the Iraqi forces managed to liberate eight villages only four hours after their advance. Local sources in Nineveh said that the Iraqi forces attacked five patrols related to ISIS leading to a number of killings and injuries among the group's militants, as the extremist group decided to ban the movement at six districts.
The decision, according to the source, came in the framework of the group's fear of potential attacks against its patrols. It added that unidentified people set the fire on headquarters of the group in the western districts of Mousl after evacuating them from the extremist elements.
In Anbar, the eighth unit of the Iraqi army started working to dig a trench in the western side of Ramadi to protect the city From the infiltration of extremists or car bombs coming from the desert.
