Extremist actions by a delegation of “Tunis Call”
Tunis - Hayat El Ghanmy

The visit made to Libya to bring back the Tunisian children, who were involved in extremist actions by a delegation of “Tunis Call” was successful. President of the Committee for the Affairs of Tunisians Abroad in the parliament, Ibtisam al-Jabbabli confirmed that major steps were taken and the children are expected to be back in the few next weeks, adding that there are more than 40 child, distributed between prisons and shelters on top of them are, Maitika and Misrata, and some children are healthy and some are injured during clashes.

Al-Jabbabli said that, there are 7 Tunisian orphan children in the headquarters of the Red Cross in Misrata, and the oldest one of them is only 7 years old, who lost his entire family and his mental state is critic, while the youngest one is six and half years old.

All children are males living in Misrata and the Red Cross is serving them well. The parliament delegation to Libya confirmed that, there aren’t any troubles bringing these children home whether, administratively or judicially, adding that the visit was coordinated with the Libyan attorney general and some powerful officials, who only showed respect and love to Tunisia.

Al-Jabbabli is holding a press conference to hive all the information about the visit, number of the children, their names, and their return date. On the other hand, the case file of the Tunisian children, whose parents were involved in extremist operations in Libya, remains a critical issue to the Tunisian government, as a Tunisian delegation was supposed to visit Libya in March, but the visit was postponed because of the security situation. International organizations confirmed that, there are 300 Tunisian fighters in Libya, a lot of them were killed, and others were arrested.

Al-Jabbabli also said that, these children didn’t choose this war, and they are paying the price for something they didn’t do, confirming that most of the children are in Maitika and Misrata, some of them are dead, while others are treated  in the hospital. She added that, it is the Tunisian government duty to bring these children back, and there isn’t any excuse to stop working on this humanitarian issue.
