At around 2am, heavy rain was reported over Saih Al Salem, Al Faqa, and Al Hiyar. The morning thunderstorms were followed by windy conditions.

Dubai residents were treated to a thunderbolt and lightning show just before 9am on Friday. The rain has significantly reduced visibility

Heavy rain poured over Abu Dhabi and Al Minhad, as well as over Al Ain International and Fujairah International airport

Light rain was also seen over the Abu Dhabi International, Al Bateen Airport, Al Maktoum International and Dubai International airports

The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) reported that the weather will remain unstable, with clouds and rain expected to fall across various parts of the country.

Friday will be mostly cloudy, said weathermen. They also see possible showers on Friday afternoon, a 20 per cent chance of rain on Saturday, and a 60 per cent chance of rain on Monday.
