Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza received Member of Parliament (MP) Essa Alkooheji and reviewed topics related to electricity and water services provided to citizens and residents..

The minister praised the MP's efforts to discuss issues affecting the interests of the citizens and the cooperation between the executive and the legislative authority in achieving their aspirations as well as improving the quality and efficiency of the services provided.

They also discussed latest developments in renewable energy projects and steps taken to encourage investment in the solar energy and working on increasing energy efficiency.

The minister gave the visitor a presentation on the plans and programmes of the Sustainable Energy Unit and initiatives to encourage the use of solar energy in homes, establishments and public places, and steps that promote a culture of rationalization of energy consumption in houses and buildings.

Alkooheji praised the efforts of the minister and officials to improve the quality of services. He stressed on enhancing means of communication and continuous meetings between the executive and legislative authority and said this would result in achieving many developmental aspects.

Advisor to the Sustainable Energy Unit Dr. Abdul Majid Habib Abdul Karim was present.
