Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohammad Shaker and Minister of Irrigation Hossam Moghazi and top state officials on Sunday opened the 25th round of the International Power, Energy, and Security Forum for Egypt, Middle East & North Africa (ElectriCZ, Solar Tecc, MEFSEC 2015) at Cairo International Convention and Exhibition Center.

In statements after the inauguration of the forum, Shaker said the forum gathers the industry sector of electricity, energy and security in Egypt which aims at showcasing the latest equipment in this field.

The minister said the forum comes as part of the Egyptian government efforts to expand in the use of clean energy and lure in the private sector to participate in the energy investments in Egypt.

As many as 177 companies and international institutions from 26 companies from Europe, US, Asia and Africa are participating in the forum. Saudi Arabia is participating in the conference with 19 mega companies specialized in the electricity and energy equipment manufacturing.

More than 68 international companies and foundations seeking to enlarge their investments in Egypt are attending the forum. They are specialized in the building of solar panels and batteries used in the construction of solar energy stations.
