Dubai - Arab Today

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA, and Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, DCAA, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to exchange expertise and knowledge and support and develop joint relations.

The MoU was signed by Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, and Mohammed Abdulla Ahli, Director-General of DCAA, during GITEX Technology Week 2017.

According to the terms of the MoU, the organisations will cooperate in Research and Development, innovation, and in launching joint projects that contribute to enhancing safety and security. DEWA and DCAA will also organise activities and workshops that support innovation.

"The MoU with DCAA is part of our continuous efforts to promote cooperation, joint work, and integration with other government departments and organisations. This collaboration contributes to achieving our common goals, enhances innovation, helps us anticipate the future of key sectors, and supports our joint efforts to find the best innovative solutions to the challenges facing government work. This in turn, supports our efforts to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable development, improve government services, and contribute to the happiness of customers and society as a whole," said Al Tayer.

"The MoU supports cooperation and coordination in implementing all legislations and laws, and facilitates joint projects to enhance safety and security. DEWA and DCAA will also cooperate in R&D and innovation activities, and participate in workshops and activities organised by either party," said Ahli.
