Lebanese singer Fares Karam revealed that he decided to cancel a singing party that was scheduled to be performed during Eid Al Fitr in the Egyptian resort of Sharm Al Sheikh, saying that the party’s contractor has not met his commitments.
He added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that he received warnings not to deal with this contractor, stressing that he decided to cancel his participation in the party due to the contractor’s failure to meet his commitments. He stressed that it is important for artists not to allow non-professional contractors control such important events, saying that they could undermine the fans’ confidence in the artists.
He added that he refuses to be honored in some events, saying that honoring artists became just a habit in some cases. He added that the real honoring comes from the people and fans, saying that such honoring appears in the number of his followers on social media accounts that hit a million on Youtube.
