Under the patronage of Chief of Public Security, Major-General Tariq Al Hassan, the Royal Academy of Police (RAP) has held a seminar on the rights of the suspects during initial investigation and trial. The event targeted 400 Interior Ministry personnel.
The Chief of Public Security welcomed the lecturers and participants, hailing the directives of HE the Interior Minister to enhance RAP’s education and training programmes in order to develop police performance and services as part of the modernization and development strategy of the Interior Ministry that covers all sectors. He expressed sincere appreciation to RAP for its activities, such as seminars and workshops, to enhance police training and education, in order to improve police services.
Meanwhile the Commander of the Officer Training College Colonel Ammar Al Sayed highlighted that the seminar was part of events that focus on laws and regulations and target officers, commissioned-officers and policemen to enhance their knowledge.
