To felicitate Omani singing sensation, Haitham Mohammed Rafi Al Balushi, who recently won a reality show in India, the Embassy of India in Muscat organised a musical evening at its auditorium.
Haitham was felicitated by Indra Mani Pandey, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman, in a traditional way by presenting him with a shawl and a bouquet of flowers.
The musical evening was attended by a large number of music lovers, both Omani nationals and Indian expatriates in Oman.
The Indian ambassador highlighted various facets of cultural exchanges and assimilation between the two countries, which have continued for more than 5000 years.
The ambassador also said that Haitham has made Oman known to millions of Indians, who watched the show, and has emerged as the ambassador of the common cultural heritage of India and Oman.
